• Prepare for takeoff

We’re not vegetarians – or even pescatarians.

We even like the odd burger and bacon sandwich.

But we also know our diets need to change, and sometimes, we all just need those little nudges to help us along the way.

And so that got us thinking, why should a meat-based meal on a plane be the default setting?

Deforestation is a bad mooove

Vegetarians and vegans aren’t going to save the planet alone (although good on ‘em for showing us the way).

It’s time for meat-eaters to start modifying their diets.

In 2021, more than 5,000 square miles of rainforest was lost to deforestation. That's twice the size of the Grand Canyon National Park.Or two thirds the size of Wales.

Most of the deforestation created land for cattle, soy production and farming.

And more than three-quarters of the global soy we produce is fed to – yep, you guessed it - livestock.

In fact, 96% of the mass of mammals on this planet are either humans, or the animals we eat.

Mayday, mayday!

Only 4% is the biodiversity we need to keep the planet healthy – the buzzy bees and wonderful birds who pollinate our planet, and the majestic whales and coral reefs that keep our oceans breathing.

That's not something we can leave unchecked because without biodiversity, our planet is unsustainable.

This isn’t about knitting your own yoghurt or taking a vow of silence.

It’s about us all having a sustainable outlook on life and refusing to wave goodbye to all those vital global sustainability goals.

So let's kick the tires and light the fires and takeoff into the blue skies of progress.
